About Graco In 1942, Russell Gray and Robert Cone formed Graco Metal Products, in Philadelphia, PA. For 11 years, the firm fabricated machine and car parts for local manufacturers. In 1953, Gray left the firm, leaving Cone as sole owner. Cone decided to manufacture his own line of products, but had trouble coming up with ideas. Enter David Saint, an engineer, tinkerer, and stained glass artisan who worked for Graco. Saint, himself a father of nine, was intrigued when an associate told him how his wife would soothe their tired and cranky baby while swinging in a backyard glider swing. Acting on this inspiration, he went to the drawing board and 18 months of hard work later, the world's first wind-up infant swing, the Graco Swyngomatic, was born. Graco sold millions of Swyngomatics in the coming years, becoming one of the world's leading manufacturers of juvenile products in the process. Today, Graco is a Newell Rubbermaid company, with 1500 associates worldwide. While a half-century has brought many changes to Graco, their dedication and commitment to designing and manufacturing top-quality products remains, and continues on. What's in the Box Graco Nautilus 3-in 1 Toddler Car Seat (Matrix).

May be great, but AWFUL for GERDLINGS March 9, 2010 N. Foster My title says it all. Don't get this if your little one has GERD. The angle is terrible. My little one, who is a silent refluxer=no spit ups, vomited all over herself w/i the first 20 minutes in the seat. I knew the angle was off by looking at the seat, but thought I'd try anyway, so upset with myself for putting my little one through it. NOT GERD FRIENDLY and I am out $155.00 (since I obviously can't return it due to the vomit) and am off to find a new seat.
Disappointed March 6, 2010 T. A. Olsen (Hawaii) I read all the review on amazon and chose to get this carseat anyway. I am bummed on 2 points. The first point is how hard it is to get all the padding off! This is our 5th carseat with our children and it takes me more than 10 minutes to get all the padding off! The second point, which, unfortunately, was one of the major selling points for us is the recline. It barely reclines! Airline seats recline more. Such a bummer. I should have gotten another First Years True Fit, which I am very happy with.
A great carseat, I own 2! March 2, 2010 Rachel A. Sohn (CA) I recently purchased my second Nautilus because I was so happy with the one I bought for my daughter about a year ago. This carseat is the last one you will need to buy once your child is ready to be forward-facing. Because of it's high top slots, my very tall daughter is able to remain in a 5-point harness much longer than most carseats of compairable price. Other carseats with high top slots are much more expensive. I also love that it converts to a high-back booster, and a backless booster if needed. When I bought my first Nautilus about a year ago, it seemed to take quite a long time to set up, but they have improved this, and now you can be ready to install in the car in just a few minutes! For the price, you can't beat this carseat. Just remember, this is a forward facing carseat, so your child must be (at minimum) 1 year old and 20 pounds.
Great car seat March 2, 2010 Rachel Matthews (Clifton, NJ) We love this car seat and this is the second we have bought as we now have one in each car. It adjusts easily, the straps are easy to use and it is great that it will last until our son is 10 if we want to use it that long. The cup holder on the new one is deeper too which is a good idea. We just wish they'd put a cup holder on each side so you could have snacks in one and a drink in the other.
Struggle with unbuckling March 2, 2010 M. Trojahn (central Illinois) I am not happy with the buckle. It pushes down, not in. It is really hard to get a grip on it. I struggle almost every time I try to release my child. It worries me that it might be an emergency. Plus, I have an infant. Sometimes I cannot use two hands! Thinking about returning it.
