Very pleased, wish we purchased this one first! September 8, 2010 Mrs CJK (TX) Best View Monitor is great & worth every penny: -Picks up sounds from baby, it is not oversensitive for us- just right -Love the panning camera since our baby has started to move all over crib -The zoom feature allows us to see him breathe (silly, but comforting for new parent) -Cord is long & monitor sits nicely on the crib -Batteries last long when unplugged I wish it did not interfere with the wireless Internet in the house, but it does. I find if you turn it off & on it clears up for a while. We wish we would have started with this monitor. We registered for the Levana monitor as it claimed it did not interfere with Internet- not only did it interfere, it also did not pick up our baby's crying until he was full blown screaming & then it would cut out sound. Would have given this monitor 5 stars if not for Internet interference. We are 1st time parents in mid 30s.
Can't believe I lived without this with my other 2 children! September 6, 2010 Zookeeper3 SUMMARY: PROS: Monitor clarity, ease of use, extra safety for baby, helping Mommy let baby learn to sleep on her own, price range, private frequency, dependability CONS: Over all Range After careful consideration of features and options this was the winner. I could care less about the color feature on the monitor but at night the black and white video monitor has been a life savor. I finally have a baby who sleeps all night because I can 'see' if she is just fussing but laying down, or if she is standing up and needs me. One time her foot got caught in the rails and I was able to see I needed to go in immediatly. I also want a video monitor for when and if she tries to climb out. As soon as I see a foot trying to go over the rail then it will be toddler bed time. She is already a monkey so this will helps us avoid a possbily bad fall. One last use is to monitor her playtime with her older sister and brother. I can be folding laundry while they play with her and still have my eyes on everything going on. Very nice. I wish the range was a bit longer. We never did mount it because we travel with it. I have a one story home of 2800SQFT so it works fine anywhere inside the house. I can sit outside on my front porch and back porch but not much further. It will, if placed in line with a wireless signal, interrupt wifi. Hubby spent 4 hours trying to fix his work connection until I moved the monitor and it instantly reconnected. Kinda funny really. There has been 2 times i thought the monitor had 'died'. Once it went to 'out of range" on the screen. The next time it went to just a dead black screen. Both times i was able to solve the issue by just reading the online booklet. The first problem was the two units became 'unsynced', simple fix. The second time was teh rechargeable batteries had died. It states clearly to remove them. We are just operating off the A/C adapter now.
Functional for multiple babies September 6, 2010 Olga I had triplets and needed a camera that gave me a view of all 3 cribs. This monitor provides the option to move the lense around the room. The zoom capability is also as well but does not give you various zooms although enough to see your baby/babies. I am very happy with this purchase and recommend this to all parents.
great product! August 24, 2010 smalltownvegan (Greeville, NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I can't imagine my life without this monitor! I have a two month old and this product gives me so much freedom. It's nice to peek in on her during naptime and nighttime and not have to risk waking her up. Especially during the first few weeks when you are totally paranoid and want to make sure she is breathing all the time. It also allows me to run on the treadmill with my headphones on during her nap because I can just watch the video instead of having to listen for her. Greatly recommend this product. I'd have to say this is the single best thing I bought for my baby! I do agree the green light is annoying, but it does not bother her, in fact, one night we watched her smile and coo at the monitor for a few minutes before she fell asleep.
what a monitor! August 23, 2010 Renee Ligman (EAST GRAND FORKS, MN, US) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a wonderful monitor!! The flashing people had been complaining about in the past must be fixed now because I have not seen a single flash while I have been n her room, nor on the monitor. The zoom, pan and scan options are awesome to say the least. I have it angled at her bed but can scan over to see her at the door trying to get out or zoom in on her during the night. The sound quality is by far the best of the monitors we have had. Almost no delay and I can hear her breathing at night even through her sound machine and heart beat music. We had 2 other video monitors before this and returned each one. This is the best and I would recommend it to all of my friends.
